Hi, I’m Kyla!

Born and raised in Regina, it’s no wonder I love this community and choose a career promoting it by helping buyers and sellers find their dream homes. Family, dedication and hard work are the best words I would use to describe who I am and those are the values I believe my clients connect with me on and why I have been successfully working in this industry for over 6 years now.

Initially, I started my career path in broadcast communications in Regina which I believe was the perfect springboard into real estate. I continue to use my communications background through my marketing videos and presentations however I believe it is my commitment to constant up-to-date market knowledge, hard work and honesty that keeps my clients referring me to their family and friends. That, I believe, is the biggest compliment I can receive and one I take very seriously in my profession. My three unbreakable rules for buying a home:

Don’t let clients over-extend themselves. With stories on the news every day about personal debt reaching record levels, I consult with my clients about the top end of their budget, then try to find them a home $25-30K less than that. I earn less but make up for it in referrals. I want my clients to have money left over to go out for ice cream or see a movie without having to worry about making ends meet.

9 times out of 10, look at the basement and foundation first. The foundation and basement are like a house’s backbone and its core. Especially in a city like Regina, if there are problems in these areas, the buyer is going to have headaches for years down the road.

If I wouldn’t want to live there, I wouldn’t expect you to live there. This is part of the lasting relationship I want to build with the people I work with. I want clients to walk away happy from every transaction—happy enough to tell their friends about my work.

Selling a Home

If you list with me, I’m going to be honest with you.

Selling can be an emotional experience for people because there many memories wrapped up in the transaction. Of course you want to get the best price for the place where you began your marriage, brought home your kids and built your life. I want you to get the best price too, but my job is to be realistic. I will place a fair, accurate valuation on your home because you need to sell it and you want to do so in a timely manner so you can move along to new home without overextending yourself on mortgages.

I have many satisfied clients who have listed with me. I also have a few that chose not to work with me based on my valuations. I always follow the sales of the listings that I lose and because I am well-researched and in touch with the market, nine times out of ten I find that my valuation was appropriate.
